It comes with a new software version 10.0.1.GM31CB (Android 10) and weighs around 1951.0MB in size. As we all know that the Android 10 is the successor version of the last year’s Android 9 Pie, it brings so many useful features. The system-wide dark mode, focus mode, family link, sound amplifier, gestures navigation, easy software updates, location privacy, improved app permissions, enhanced system security, live caption, 5G support, foldable display support, etc are one of the highlighted features of Android 10 (Q). Whereas, the November 2019 Security Patch has fixed a critical security vulnerability in the System component that could enable a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code using a specially crafted file within the context of a privileged process. Additionally, the software update also brings improved system stability & general bug fixes to the device for better user experience.
The update is arriving via OTA in batches and may take some time to appear on all the devices. Either, you can go to the device Settings – Software Updates – Check for update to check software updates manually or can download the update file and sideload it.
