As reported by Sammobile, the June 2022 security update is rolling out to both LTE and 5G variants of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra. It comes with the firmware version G98xxXXSEFVE6. Unfortunately, the Galaxy S20 FE is still running on the May security patch. It is expected to join the party in the coming weeks. The June 2022 security patch for Galaxy phones includes dozens of fixes from Google and Samsung. It fixes security issues related to Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and QR scanner. The update also brings along over 60 vulnerabilities of varying severity. Broadly speaking, the security patch will improve user privacy and data security.
Samsung Galaxy S20 series owners have already started receiving the June 2022 security patch as an OTA update. In case you haven’t received a notification for the update, navigate to Settings » Software update and click Download and install to update your Galaxy phone. The Galaxy S20 is Samsung’s flagship from 2020 which debuted with Android 10 out of the box. The device has already secured two major Android upgrades, as a result of which it is now running on Android 12.
