The first batch of the ColorOS 12 beta program for the A76 has a quota of 5000 seats. It is currently available for A76 users in India. Before applying for the beta program, there are a couple of important points to keep in mind. It’s required to have the latest software version (A.76) on your Oppo A76. The registration for the first batch is already open and will remain active until May 19. But seats are limited. Getting an early taste of Android 12 and ColorOS 12 also comes with a slight risk. Beta builds are more prone to have bugs. So you may face several issues on your Oppo phone after installing the beta build. We don’t recommend testing any beta builds on your primary device.
To apply for the ColorOS 12 beta program on your Oppo A76 follow the steps:
Open the Settings app. Go to Settings > Software Update. Tap on the gear icon at the top right corner. Click on Request beta, then tap on Update beta. Follow on-screen instructions to finish the application.
After you have submitted the application, it will then be reviewed by Oppo. If your application gets selected, you’ll receive an Android 12-based ColorOS 12 update in the coming days.
