Apple has begun sending out invitations for the “Far out” September 2022 event, which has now been confirmed on September 7. As with latest upcoming iphone 14 launches, Apple is likely to reveal iOS 16’s official release date.
iOS 16 Beta 7 becomes available to registered developers
The iOS 16 Beta 7 build 20A5356a has become available to download for registered developers through the Settings App. You’ll need to open the Settings app, head over to General, and choose Software Update. The update will take a while to appear for all the beta testers over the air. The iOS 16 Beta 6 update was released last week and it included a few minor changes and features. At this point, Apple is solely focused on fixing last-minute bugs and performance issues and optimizing features.
What new features will iOS 16 bring for the users?
The iOS 16 update introduces a revamped Lock Screen, offering a new level of personalization and customization through widgets, adjustable fonts, a notification redesign, and colors for the time. Multiple Lock Screens will be supported, which will be similar to watch faces. Focus is a lot easier to set up than before and it’ll be much more customizable, with Focus filters being available to cut out distracting content within apps. The Messages app will feature tools for editing an iMessage, marking messages as unread, and unsending an iMessage, while it also supports SharePlay. The iCloud Photo Library will allow the users to easily share photos with family members and Live Text supported in the video. There’s even a neat little feature for lifting the subject from a background with a tap, which will be a part of Visual Lookup. Dictation has improved, the Maps app supports multi-stop routing, Apple Pay lets the users split up purchase payments and the Home app has been completely overhauled with a new look. The iOS 16 Beta 5 update added the battery percentage feature to the status bar on iPhones that have a notch.
